'Delighted' Kym Marsh pregnant again less than two years after devastating loss of baby boy

By Daily Mail Reporter

Last year a heartbroken Kym Marsh spoke of her fear of trying for another baby after the tragic loss of premature baby Archie moments after his birth.

But her fear has turned to joy as the Coronation Street star has revealed she is expecting a baby with her fiance Jamie Lomas.

A representative for the soap confirmed the happy news, after the 34-year-old actress had her 12-week scan today.

Baby joy: Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has announced she is expecting a baby with her fiance, Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas

A spokeswoman said: 'Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas are delighted to announce they are expecting a baby together.

'They are very appreciative of the love and support that has come their way in the last 12 months, but they won't be saying anything further about Kym's pregnancy for the moment.

'They have confirmed this news now as both Kym and Jamie feel they'd like to be able to share their happiness with family, friends and colleagues.'

Archie, who was 18 weeks premature, died moments after he was born in February last year.

Growing brood: Kym already has two children, David, 15, and Emily, 13, from a previous relationship

Last October, Marsh and Lomas announced they had split up, but they rekindled their relationship a month later and got engaged when the Hollyoaks actor, 30, proposed on Christmas Day.

Marsh has two other children - David, 15, and Emily, 13 - from a previous relationship with Dave Cunliffe.

A friend of the actress told the Sun: 'They've had a tough time since losing Archie but their relationship is stronger than ever now.

'Obviously she was anxious about it considering what happened last year but she's seen doctors today and they've reassured her that everything is fine.'
